Baksan Valley, Kabardino-Balkaria, Russian Federation: April 10-18, 2019

Baksan Neutrino Observatory, located in 17 km from the hotel, became the first underground laboratory in the world built expressly for science.
Last year Baksan Neutrino Observatory (BNO) of the Institute for Nuclear Research celebrated its 50th anniversary and held 3 international conferences close to the place on this occasion. New experiments were funded and lots of other RnD are being launched, including the key "Mega-science" project of a large-volume ultra-pure liquid scintillator detector called NBNT ("New Baksan Neutrino Telescope"). BNO experimental setup includes the Baksan Underground Scintillation Telescope (BUST), mountain setup ANDYRCHI, the complex CARPET including surface scintillation dectectors together with muon detector, underground Gallium-Germanium Neutrino Telescope, low-background laboratories.
