Every speaker of the School should have received a file with the Preliminary Programme. Also, it can be found on our www home page. Please, check title(s) of your presentation, institution, and other details related. The Programme is already issued in the composition presented, and its printed version will be distributed over the participants by the registration. Any changes and corrections can be made in the course of the School, just in an `interactive regime' at the hotel "Cheget". If necessary, please, contact Valery Rubakov and/or Khazret Nirov there.
We would like to stress again that somebody assigned for the purpose by the Organizing Committee will meet you at the Sheremetyevo airport upon your arrival in Moscow. The receiving person will carry a copy of the School poster, and so, we hope you will easily see him at the meeting point, even if the airport is crowded. In cases of any problems arising there, please, phone us by the numbers: 135-20-51, 133-65-33.
We have arranged for your accommodation at the hotel "Sputnik" (Leninsky Prospect, 38; placed in some 10 minutes on foot from our Institute) for your staying in Moscow. The Organizing Committee paid for the night before and the night after the School, and made necessary reservation prepaiments. Thus, you will have to pay for only extra nights you spend at "Sputnik". A night at this hotel costs about 360 roubles, approximately equal to USD15.
The total cost of local expenses is 450 US dollars (see also the Bulletin # 2). This sum must be paid to the Organizing Committee upon registration at "Cheget". We will accept US dollars, Russian roubles and German marks, cash only.
We strongly recommend to exchange currency for your pocket money just in Moscow. Current ratio USD/RR and DM/RR are approximately 1/25.5 and 1/13.4, respectively.
For those participants who requested such an assistance, we bought tickets for the round flight Moscow-Mineralnye Vody-Moscow. You can get your tickets from the receiving persons since your arrival in Moscow. The price for one round flight ticket is USD70, and you must pay this amount to the Organizing Committee upon registration at "Cheget". Note that these expenses are additional to the organization fee, being not included to the earlier announced USD450.
We arranged for bus transportation from the hotel "Sputnik" to the internal flight airports (planes for Mineralnye Vody take off from Domodedovo and Vnukovo).
The buses leave from the hotel "Sputnik" at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, 18 April. The participants should gather in 15 minutes advance before that time at the hotel entrance.
The participants of the School will be met at the Mineralnye Vody airport upon their landing and transported further to the hotel "Cheget" in the upper Baksan Valley.
The weather in Moscow is presently very changeable: pretty cold, about 12-15 C Grad, windy, the air is humid, but sometimes it gets warm and sunny. Usually, exactly this week of April one meets unstable weather in Moscow. It is up to you to decide what kind of clothes is most appropriate to such conditions. However, closer to the end of April, it will be much warmer here, nice days with just more sun can be anticipated.
In the upper Baksan Valley the temperature is about +15 degrees Celsius, greatly sunny. It is absolutely nice time for alpine skiing at Cheget and Elbrus slopes. Good luck!
